How is workforce risk calculated?
Risk scores (0–100) combine five signal families: WARN notice filings, job posting velocity, BLS unemployment claims, FRED macro indicators, and news-based layoff signals. Each signal is weighted by recency and geographic relevance. Scores above 60 are flagged as elevated; above 80 as critical.
How often is the data refreshed?
Core feeds update daily at 6 AM UTC. BLS publishes major employment data on the first Friday of each month at 8:30 AM ET, which we ingest within minutes of release. Each data point carries a freshness label so you always know when it was last synced.
Which data sources are included?
We aggregate from: DOL WARN notices (state-level filings), BLS (unemployment claims, JOLTS, CES), FRED (macro indicators), job posting APIs (hiring velocity across 384 metros), and news signals via NLP to detect early layoff language before official announcements.
Can I filter by region or sector?
Yes. The dashboard lets you filter risk views by sector (Technology, Healthcare, Finance, Retail, and more), by state, or by metro area. Paid plans include custom watchlists so you get alerts only for the geographies and industries that matter to you.
